USA to host Canada in return to Men’s International competition
The USA Hawks are to play an international match for the first time since the World Cup repechage process in 2019, facing off against the Canada Wolverines on November 5th in Tampa, FL.
During that repechage neither country qualified for the 2021 World Cup, but they can now look forward to the Americas Championships in 2023. Both countries are building up rosters in preparation for that set of internationals to take place in Jamaica next Fall.
“I’m excited to get back on the field after a long layoff. As I’m sure the players are as well,” stated Hawks coach Sean Rutgerson. “This is the start of our preparation towards the next World Cup qualifiers.”
The Hawks expect to arrive in Tampa starting on November 3rd, with the side being made up completely of domestic players:
